Online Security is Important to Us

You may have seen recent news about an online security flaw called Heartbleed. It affects an implementation of the widely-used Internet security protocol TLS/SSL. Information exchanged on some websites using TLS/SSL may not have been protected.

Here are some important steps you can take right now to safeguard your personal information:

1. Change your online banking password.
Touch Support systems were not vulnerable to the Heartbleed — our systems were not running a vulnerable version of OpenSSL.  So you can feel secure changing your password today. In fact, it’s a good idea to reset all your passwords every six months. Be sure not to use the same password on all websites, and try to use a password that combines letters (upper case/lower case), numbers and even symbols that would be difficult for someone to guess.

2. Stay on the lookout for email phishing scams.
Touch Support will never email you to verify or ask for personal information – such as your Social Security Number, mother’s maiden name, username, password, etc. If you’re ever in doubt about the validity of an email you receive, DO NOT provide your personal information. Call us immediately at (888) 45-TOUCH and forward any suspicious emails that reference Touch Support to abuse@touchsupport.com.

What else can you do?

Review your financial account activity regularly and report any suspicious transactions to your financial institution as soon as possible. In addition, the Touch Support security team is always actively monitoring our customer accounts. We’ll contact you directly if we identify any fraudulent activity on your account.
