Danilo B. appears on “The Chase” Game Show

We were thrilled yesterday to watch a game show where we saw a familiar face, our very own Shift Lead and Jr. Level 3, Danilo B.

The show is called Potjera which is licensed upon the British show The Chase. The rules are pretty simple — four players form a team in order to beat “The Chaser”, the quiz genius. In order to win, the team has to answer better and faster than the Chaser.  If The Chaser catches up with the team in the Final Chase, the team goes home empty handed.

We sat down with Danilo to tell us a bit about the whole experience from his point of view…

How did you prepare for your appearance on the show?
Well, I didn’t do anything special to prepare for the show. I was a fan of quiz and trivia shows as long as I can remember and I always enjoyed playing games like trivia pursuit and online quiz games. I guess I’ve been preparing all my life!

What was the contestant interview and selection process like?
The selection process was quite simple, you go online and apply at http://potjera.hrt.hr/prijava. Along with personal details you have to provide, there is a short online quiz to test your trivia skills.  That’s it.

Any advice for others aspiring to be on the game show?
It’s not that hard and everyone should try it. Also, it is one heck of an experience, plus you get to be on a national TV.
So, take the chance and do the show as it is a bunch of fun and you might win something!

What did your friends and family think of your appearance on the show?
I got a lot of calls and messages from my family and friends, even from some people I haven’t heard in a while.
All of them said that I did well and asked how was it to be there and do the shoot.

Everyone says it’s not as easy as it looks. What was most surprising to you?
I told everyone I was a bit nervous at the beginning, but the production team and host were all great and provided us with great relaxation techniques to help calm our nerves. The tension goes away after a while and is replaced with the sheer joy and adrenaline of competition, especially if you had a great team like I did.

Did you get along with all of the other contestants?
We did not win anything, but we were great together and we had fun doing the show, which is most important to me. After all, it’s a game and you’re supposed to have fun.
